Q. How are Senior Care Plus' caregivers selected? A.
All our caregivers are recruited and selected based on them having at least 2 years experience caring for seniors, at least
2 very good to excellent references from previous senior employers, a clean criminal background check and the ability to effectively
communicate verbally and in writing with senior citizens. We interview all caregivers personally to assure each caregiver
has a character and personality that is professional, kind and friendly.
Q. How are Senior Care Plus' caregivers supervised? A.
All care is supervised by a Registered Nurse. This assures that each client receives the care they require. The nurse assures
that each client's care changes as their needs change.
Q. Is the cost of a caregiver covered by insurance? A.
The only type of policy that pays for private duty caregiving services is a long-term care policy. The policy often covers
part or all of the clients charges. Senior Care Plus works with many long-term care insurance companies and will submit claims
for you. Unfortunately Medicare and private medical insurance policies do not cover the services of "non-skilled" caregivers.
Q.
Will we be able to contact Senior Care Plus in case of an emergency? A. A professional staff member is on call 24 hours
per day, 7 days per week. We are always available to help.
Q. Are Senior Care Plus' caregivers licensed and bonded? A.
Absolutely. All caregivers are fully insured while in your home. This is one of the biggest advantages of choosing a caregiver
that works through a reputable agency.
Q. What happens if my caregiver becomes ill or can't come to my home for another
reason? A. Senior Care Plus has an extensive group of qualified, professional, kind caregivers who would be available
to fill in for your regular caregiver if the need arises.
Q. What happens if I become dissatisfied with my caregiver? A.
Client satisfaction is Senior Care Plus' primary concern. If for any reason a client is unhappy with their caregiver, we
will replace the caregiver as soon as possible. While all Senior Care Plus caregivers are professional and well qualified,
personality issues could potentially arise. Our goal is to assure complete customer satisfaction.
Q. Does Senior
Care Plus belong to any professional organizations? A. Senior Care Plus is a member of the National Private Duty Association
and the American Geriatric Society.
